The fitter will maintain, service and repair the full range of hire equipment ensuring that it is clean, safe and of a good quality you would be happy to hire
Job Responsibilities:
- Represent the company and values of the business and portray a professional and businesslike image to all customers, potential customers and other people you meet in course of your work.
- Routine service and maintenance on all items of stock including seasonal preventative maintenance, and following procedures as from time to time laid down by the Company.
- To inform the Workshop Manager of spare parts required for cost effective repairs, ensuring that equipment is out of service for as short a time as possible.
- Estimate and advise accordingly on all equipment repair costs whether for write off, consideration or for damage, recharge to customers.
- Inform the Workshop Manager of repairs which are under warranty.
- Carry out major overhauls and refurbishment (e.g. painting) of all hire equipment as and when necessary.
- Liaise with the Workshop Manager on future stock requirements for hire, and repair the required items to meet these plans.
- Advise of problems with particular items of stock regarding safety and reliability.
- To keep service records, including daily worksheets and update onto Spanner
- Involvement with Workshop Manager where necessary with product training.
- Maintain working area in a clean and organised manner, adhering to group and company guidelines on Health and Safety at Work.
- Adhering to all the company’s safety guidelines including wearing of all personal protective equipment and company overalls.
- Develop, maintain and expand fitting experience and aptitude to encompass all types of equipment as required by the Workshop Manager.
- Carry out other task or duties as from time to time required by the Company.
- Be a key driver in serious about safety by working as a team to adhere to safety guidelines
- Ensure all locations are maintained to our 360◦ brand
- Experience in fitting mechanical and electrical equipment
- Competent understanding of the carrying and transportation of hazardous goods
- Can demonstrate product knowledge including the powered access range/access range
- Manual Handling Awareness
- Be willing to drive a forklift if required
